If they are old enough to say yes or no, or make small decisions, ask them if they think it is comfortable. Before purchasing an expensive outfit, make sure that they like it first. As a child grows, they should have a sense of fashion. They should not be okay with wearing just a T-shirt and jeans outfit wherever they go.
